Harnett County
residents choose to go to the Cumberland County Fair. The Cumberland County Fair
is held for 10 days every summer at the Crown Center. As a traditional agricultural
fair, the Cumberland County Fair displays the youth and 4-H livestock show and
auction. Residents can compete for prize money with their finest hand crafted,
home made and home grown items for exhibition and judging. Visitors can enjoy
many of the carnival rides while vendors offer cotton candy, snow cones, candy
apples, and funnel cakes. Over 45 thousand visitors help to achieve the Cumberland
County Fair’s mission of showcasing and preserving the history and legacy
of the agricultural communities in the County.
